性狀：
常溫常壓下為液態，它是一種無色、無臭、無毒、無腐蝕性的氣體。熔點-50℃，升華點或沸點為-63.8℃，氣體密度6.16g/L(20℃，0.1MPa)，在熔點時密度為2.51g/cm3，具有高的絕緣性和滅弧能力。
用途：
六氟化硫﹙SF6﹚是一優良的惰性絕緣氣體，電子工業用六氟化硫氣體大量用于在電子器件表面清洗、在TFT行業中應用量大。
貯存：
應存放于陰涼干燥、通風良好的地方。
運輸：
長途運輸時應附有GB19-73《危險貨物包裝標志》中標志。氣瓶充裝系數不大于1.33kg/L。
包裝：
SF6應充裝在潔凈、干燥的無縫高壓氣瓶中，氣瓶容積一般為40L、12.5L、10L、8L、4L等，也可以根據用戶需要選用各種容積的氣瓶或其他容器。（一般情況下，使用氣瓶公稱壓力為15Mpa時，充裝系數＜1.37ka/L。﹚
